Where is Jeremy working?
Jeremy Buxton is an experienced media project manager, trainer and facilitator, who has over thirty years experience within the BBC and commercial sector.
Jeremy works as a digital skills trainer for the BBC, training staff on Generative AI, social media, and web skills - amongst other things!
He also works as a training facilitator across the wider BBC, having previously run Upfront which was the face to face induction programme which all new BBC employees used to attend. Induction is now an online course.
He was also a trainer and design/development specialist within BBC News for a number of years, working on the creation and rollout of satellite vehicles, new studio system ViLoR, radio visualisation, and smartphone technology.
Prior to this, he managed the activity for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games with partners at the LOCOG/BBC Live Sites across the North, ensuring staff training, broadcast resilience, marketing, community engagement, crowd safety and brand management within fluid timescales.
Jeremy has even worked on a Mars landing with NASA! He was responsible for the set up and monitoring of the worldwide NASA live webcast held at MediaCity of the Mars Curiosity landing in August 2012, ensuring that all technology and circuits were in place and operational within the tight deadlines.
As a trained journalist and former radio host, he is best placed to add value to the business through effective staff development and training.
